8 Ingredients That Are Great For the Skin

Have you ever been curious which ingredients, out of all the ones we put in our food, are purely good for your skin? I have! It wasn’t until I started breaking out that I wanted to know. I’m not saying that you have to change up all your eating habits but adding these ingredients to your skin care routine will definitely help your skin become more healthy. Here are the 11 ingredients I have found that work for me:

  1. Coconut Oil: this is great for cleansing and moisturizing your skin. It naturally contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which helps the skin long term. It is good for removing dead skin cells and protecting your skin from sunburns. A little bit of this goes a long way!
  2. Tea Tree Oil: this can be applied directly to the skin and naturally helps fight breakouts, redness, and inflammation. It naturally can provide scar healing and is why most people recommend it when using home remedies.
  3. Raw Honey: some people find this ingredient a little strange because it’s sticky (I did too at first). But honey is one of the best natural sources of nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, and skin boosting acids. If you use honey make sure its RAW not processed like it is in grocery stores. Honey is good for the skin because it reduces breakouts, provides moisture properties, and reduces scars.
  4. Sea Salt: this has a lot of the properties that your skin cells naturally produce. Using sea salt is good because it enhances the properties within your skin and help balance, protect, and restore the skin
  5. Avocado: this is good for inflammation of the skin. This is an ultra-moisturizing fruit that can soothe sunburn skin, boost collagen production, and treat age spots
  6. Aragon Oil: this oil is moisturizing to your skin. Applying a small amount daily can help heal irritations such as acne, bug bites, & eczema
  7. Almond Oil: this is good for the skin because it has properties such as anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties. It is great for treating skin rashes, acne, and dryness
  8. Shea Butter: this is great for moisturizing dry skin and is great for reducing flaking, redness, or peeling.

Trying these ingredients on your skin as a mask or by simply eating some of them might help you on your way to healthy skin! Some of these have worked for me and some haven’t but I can tell you that the ones that have, I am still using! You don’t have to use them regularly but every once in a while substitute it for your regular routine. By not using them all the time, your body won’t get used to them and they can still have an amazing effect!
